Mineral Pool, Yellowstone
Old Faithful Geyser, Yellowstone
Waited about an hour for this. As cool as it was, I probably could have been more productive in the meantime.
Traveler's Lodge, Yellowstone, MT
Sinclair, Yellowstone, MT
Yep. Definitely still in business. Keep in mind, these are 2013 prices.
Dairy Queen, Yellowstone, MT
Seriously old store, probably with the original signage. UPDATE: the sign is gone. has been replaced with a new Grill & Chill sign with LED screens. Shoulda kept this one.
Genuardi's Chocolates
I'm eating their store-brand chocolate as I write this, purchased at the Audubon store (their only remaining store), which closed for good today (5/27/2015).
Nova Bank, Lionville, PA
Opened around 2003, closed around 2012. Sign went up in the yard this morning that there will be a Public Hearing, so something will probably happen with this soon.
Wawa, Lionville, PA
Moved from down the road around 2008, has been redone inside twice since then.
Burger King/Taco Bell/Starbucks, Lionville, PA
An updated version of my last photo (though still from 2013), showing it shortly before opening. It closed October 2014.
Coastal, Lionville, PA
Opened with this development in the late 90's, closed with the chain in 2001. The service center is still open, but the canopy has recently been torn down.
Swiss Farms/Pronto, Lionville, PA
Built around 2005, closed about a year later. Sat empty for awhile, and in 2013 became Pronto drive-thru Italian. That then relocated earlier this year.
Char-Lee's/Butcher Burger/Taco Maya, Lionville, PA
Opened in 2007 as a fast food restaurant, which lasted only a year or so. It then became Butcher Burger, which lasted for a decent amount of time, in 2013, it became Taco Maya, which is probably the most popular tacqueria in the area.
Sovereign Bank, Lionville, PA
Opened with the center in 2001, closed around 2011, shortly thereafter, the chain was bought by Santander.
Virginia City, MT
Old-timey log cabin in Virginia City, what was a ghost town, though most buildings have been torn down and replaced with modern-technology replicas more recently. This one clearly hasn't.
Texaco, MontanaThis would have opened in the mid/late 60's. It was vacant in 2013 and looks like it's available for free!
Phillips 66, Butte, MT
Phillips 66, Butte, MT
I doubt this is the same Thriftway we see on the East Coast, but they have to be related somehow. This also has a casino inside.
Herberger's, Butte, MTI had never heard of this chain before, so I looked into it a bit. Turns out, it is based in York, Pa (As part of Bon-Ton), which is really strange considering I have lived in Pennsylvania all my life and had not heard about them until I went to Montana. This mall has a casino in it.

My Grandmother's Grandfather owned this store in the earlier 1900's, I think it was sold in the 70's (surprised it lasted that long with 2 Safeway's and an Albertson's in the area). Currently abandoned.
Safeway, Butte, MT
This is one of the old barrel-roof stores, I would assume it opened in the 50's, because the roof doesn't flare out at the ends, meaning it is an older model. Address for this location is: 310 W Front St , Butte, MT 59701
Berkley Pit, Butte, MT
This was an old mining pit, which has become a tourist attraction. After it was closed, it filled up with water rich in minerals, especially copper. These are being filtered out and solidified as a new mining company took over.
Safeway, Butte, MT
A 60's barrel-roof store, has received a new façade. The flared edges of the roof are somewhat visible from the sides.
Albertsons, Anaconda, MT
I would guess a 70's store. I think this would be classified as a "Skaggs" model. It has since been remodeled.
Safeway, Hamilton, MT60's barrel roof store, has received the lifestyle décor inside, despite being smaller than my neighbor's garage
Albertsons, Hamilton, MTThis store opened in 1991 and currently has the older version of Supervalu's Fresh and Healthy décor.Texaco, Somewhere in Idaho
This may have since rebranded to Chevron, quite a few in the state have done so in recent years. Information per Pauled8no1 "The Chevron-Texaco deal closed around 2000. In an effort to satisfy government anti-trust regulations, Chevron reached a deal with Equillon-Motiva (parent company of Shell) that sold Motiva most of the Texaco stations on the east coast. The deal licensed Motiva to use the Texaco name for 6 years. After which, in 2006-7, they were all converted to Shell. Any remaining stations not sold to Motiva dropped Texaco branding after 2010 when Chevron decided to end all marketing east of the Mississippi, except for Florida where they have a good presence. The station in the picture is being run by Chevron as evidenced by the "with Techron" attached to the sign. Chevron still uses Texaco but only west of the Mississippi."
Albertsons, Idaho Falls, ID
Looks like a 70's Skaggs model, still doing good business.
